- What is a nabeshirt?
-
NABESHIRT is a Japanese term used for a type of binding vest designed to flatten chests and minimize the appearance of breasts. Rather than relying on adhesive devices, Asiandrug's NABAY chest binders are made from a flexible, tight polymer fabric which restricts the chest, yet is stitched together to have the same appearance as a plain t-shirt.

- The binder I'm using now doesn't breathe much, and I've developed acne on my back. How well does a NABAY chest binder breathe?
Compression vests and such are often said to be bulky, thick, and lack permeability, thus causing excess sweat buildup and leading to acne and blistering. But, Asiandrug's NABAYs are made from mesh and designed to increase breathability as well as decrease worries about skin irritation.
In addition, NABAYs are simple to wash and quick to dry, so you can keep your skin free from foreign particles and irritants.
† As skin sensitivity differs per person, we cannot guarantee that irritation will not occur.

- How well can you see a NABAY through a white t-shirt?
-
Of course, this depends much on the thickness of the t-shirt, but a NABAY chest binder will show slightly through a standard white t-shirt.
- Will my nipples be noticeable through a NABAY chest binder?
-
Because NABAYs are not made stiff like most compression vests, there is a lot of worry about this.
But in fact, though flexible, the fabric in the chest is four layers thick, and with the correct size, nothing should be noticeable.

- How can I keep the hem from rising when I wear my NABAY?
For those whose broader body type causes natural hem-rising, please reference the following.
Because NABAYs are made of nylon and slide easily, there may be times when the hem will rub another part of the shirt and rise up. In this case, just tuck the hem into your pants and clasp your belt.
† As of our pattern change in late 2004, NABAYs now sold are from our line of non-rise styles. Some rising may occur.
- Will my NABAY stretch out of shape?
Though putting on and taking off a NABAY chest binder, or wearing one for long periods, necessarily stretches the fabric, the size will return back to its original upon washing. If you wash your NABAY in hot water, the fabric will weaken and eventually stretch a bit, but usually not enough to be noticeable.

- How durable is a NABAY?
-
Through our company research, we've found that, from first arrival through one year of use everyday, a NABAY will remain unchanged other than slight changes in the hemline. But, by rotating among two or three different NABAYs, you can assure a long life for your shirt.

- Are you going to come out with any new patterns or colors?
-
Right now we make shirts in only black, white, and natural, but if you have any requests for special colors, let us know and we will try our best to accommodate you.

- Can I get a NABAY any cheaper?
-
As a basic daily necessity, we too feel that nabeshirts are a bit pricey. Unfortunately, due to costs associated with the special manufacture and shipping of these shirts, we cannot offer an overall deduction in the price.
But, as a company who wishes to build solid relationships with our customers, we would like to inform you of our numerous sales, our Bulk Order Discount, as well as our Model Discount Campaign.

- Is there a way to look at NABAY chest binders without a computer?
-
We now have a cellphone website that can be viewed by anybody with a web-enabled mobile telephone (Japanese only).
- Which size should I choose?
-
Right now, we offer three standard sizes of XS, S, and M. We also have XXS, L, and XL as special order items.
- First, read how to measure yourself, and compare your measurements with our measurement chart.
- Then, go over some of our customer data and see what our customers thought about their choices.
- Finally, look over our gallery images and see what the different fits look like.
In addition, you should consider whether you want a looser fit style, or a tighter, more supportive fit.
If you've bought a NABAY previously and, after wearing it for a while, have gotten used to the feel and would like a tighter one, we recommend buying the same size, as smaller sizes also carry greater health risks for the wearer.

- If I lose weight, will I need to buy a new chest binder?
-
Due to the elasticity of the special NABAY fabric, most minor changes in weight will not require the purchase of a new shirt.
But, should your bust size change by 10 centimeters or more, your NABAY will lose it's effectiveness, and you will need to buy a different size.
- How do I measure my bust?
-
First, hold the measuring tape parallel to the floor and measure around the fullest part of your chest. Then, measure directly underneath your breast, and subtract that number from the first measurement. Then, look at our sizing chart and find a suitable size.
- When I order, do I really need to include my height and weight?
-
As a general rule, we recommend including this information. As our sizing charts are based on bust measurements alone, by letting us know this additional information, our sizing experts can compare the concrete measurements and make a more accurate decision. If we find any discrepancies, we may ask you if you would like to change your order or confirm your original order.
In addition, any orders that do not include height and weight measurements will not be allowed to make exchanges for inaccurate sizes.

- I chose the correct size, but my NABAY is still too tight. What should I do?
-
Even after careful thought and decision-making, in the event that you find your NABAY is still not the right size, we will exchange for a different size, considering that you have previously sent along the necessary height and weight information.
In the rare event of defective or mislabled goods, we will gladly replace your purchase free of charge.
Also see our return policy.

- The hem has gotten longer. Why? Is it okay if I cut it shorter?
-
In the case of huskier customers, or those whose stomachs extend out over the waist, as you move, the hem of the NABAY chest binder moves along with you, and, over time, will stretch to a bit of a longer size.
If you decide to cut the hem, we recommend cutting it and leaving it as is — do not sew in a new hem. Because we use special high-tensile machines and fabrics to make NABAY, a regular sewing machine and regular thread will defeat the use of the shirt. Either the thread will break, or it will reduce the overall elasticity of your nabeshirt.
Instead, leave the hem raw, and due to the materials and elasticity of your shirt, there is no worry of fraying.
Please note, if you cut the hem of your NABAY, we can no longer guarantee your shirt's strength and durability.

- What is the difference between the sizes?
-
The most important difference between the sizes is the area around the arms. Each size is about 5 centimeters different in arm girth, and this small difference can cause it to feel too loose or too tight at times.
If one size feels wrong, check the girth of your upper arm — that could be the cause for the discomfort.

- I have a big chest. Is that okay?
-
When talking about chest binders, it's important to clarify the meaning of "big chest". Is your whole chest big, including your topbust and underbust? Or is your topbust only big, thus meaning a large cupsize?
The previous will include many of our broader and huskier customers. According to our research, following the standard sizing charts should prove to be effective.
In the latter category, if your body is thin overall, but you have a large bust, we recommend the standard S size shirt.
There is, however, the possibility of having a pigeon-chest look, as there will be some fullness that cannot be hidden.
But, we feel confident that NABAYs will look and feel more natural than traditional compression vests, and so we leave the sizing to the customer.
As always, if you have any hesitation or worry, feel free to contact us for a consultation.

- I need to order a special size. Is there an extra charge for that?
-
Simply put, no.
There is no extra charge for a special size. All this means is that it will take an extra two or three days to stock into inventory and send to you.
† Please note, even though these sizes are listed as special sizes, this does not mean that they are custom tailored. They are just made in smaller quanitity than our standard sizes.
- I chose a size needed for support. Is it okay to use for exercise?
-
Of course!
The fabric is strong and flexible, so exercise should be no problem. Also, since it is a mesh net, it will wick away moisture and keep you cool.

- Is there a place to try on a NABAY before I buy one?
-
If you are in the Tokyo, Japan, area, you can visit our costume shop, CRAZY NURSE, and try on a NABAY Chest Binder. Please call for an appointment beforehand.

- I'm buying a group of NABAYs with differing sizes. Can I still get the bulk discount?
-
Of course!
If you are shopping for a friend and yourself, or ordering as a gift, we will be happy to apply a bulk discount to your order.

- Can I order using a pseudonym?
-
Because we value your privacy, we gladly accept orders using pseudonyms and aliases for domestic Japanese shipments.
Unfortunately, we must also comply with heightened security restrictions for mail. If you are ordering via international mail, the postal service requires honest and accurate addressing information. Therefore, we will need your legal name and address for international shipments.

- Will people know what I'm ordering from the mail package?
-
When we ship a NABAY, the only thing we write on the customs and declaration forms is "Clothing".
That way, if your package arrives and you are not at home, nobody else will be able to know what is inside.

- Can I receive my NABAY at an address different from my home address?
-
We can ship your package to your house, or to your place of work. Just specify the delivery address in your order form.
